The benefit will be a spectacular omakase dining experience paired with excellent sake and wine, honoring James Beard Award-Winning “Rising Star Chef,” “Best Chef of New York City” and Food & Wine “Best New Chef” Andrew Carmellini, featuring premium Wagyu beef, specialty fish and other delicacies from Japan. Chef Carmellini is now the proud owner and culinary lead of 19 different dining venues. We are proud to have cooking at this event along with Chef Carmellini, Michelin-Starred Chef Shin Takagi of the renowned Zeniya in Kanazawa, Japan and acclaimed Chef Michael Romano, formerly of Union Square Cafe. In addition, two of our Gohan Scholars, Chefs Kyle Goldstein and Mindy Ling will be creating a dish for this event.
All of the chefs embody the spirit of collaboration between the U.S. and Japan.
